Alert in Vienna-Liesing! A masked man with a firearm is currently being sought. The unknown man is said to have robbed a tobacco shop around 7 a.m. on Saturday. He managed to escape with the loot.
The employee of the affected tobacconist must have had a major shock. The masked man is said to have come across the kiosk around 7 a.m. In the suspect’s hand: a suspected firearm. The unknown person then allegedly threatened the employee and demanded valuables. He then fled with the stolen goods in an unknown direction.
According to police spokeswoman Barbara Gass, a search has so far been unsuccessful. The Vienna State Criminal Investigation Department, South Division, has taken over the investigation. Relevant tips are received at every police station – also anonymously. No one was injured as a result of the incident.
