After residents of a house in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate found their home in disarray after a Christmas visit, they alerted the police. As a result, the “burglar” was caught red-handed!
The Germans’ house had been vandalized during their absence – so much so that they suspected burglars were causing mischief during their Christmas visit. However, the alerted police were able to quickly clarify the matter.
“Masked perpetrator” was arrested
“The perpetrator, who was masked and wearing black gloves,” was still at the crime scene, the police wrote in a statement, according to “Stern.” The ‘burglar’ was a raccoon who apparently entered the house unnoticed.
However, the act had no consequences for the brutal intruder. Police said the raccoon was captured by a hunter and released at a suitable location.
