Losing weight, exercising more or finally quitting annoying smoking – the classic resolutions of many adults in Austria again this year around New Year’s Eve. But what wishes and expectations do our children have? What do you want to do better or differently this year? The “Krone” asked around.
“I have some good intentions for the new year. I especially want to exercise more. Go jogging more often and get better at soccer. I also want to continue studying well at school, so that my dream of one day becoming a lawyer can become reality.”
“I wish for the coming year that all my family members remain healthy. As I am a keen gymnast I would like to learn a lot more there, including how to do a flick flack. I also plan to practice piano more.”
“For the new year 2025, my main wish is that people simply argue less and instead stick together more. I think that would be very good for all of us. I also hope that the wars in the world will finally end.”
“My wish for 2025 is that there will be peace in the world – I don’t like war or anything like that. I also want everyone to have something to eat and for there to be less fighting and resentment. I also wish good health for my friends and family.”
“Above all, I wish health for the coming year 2025 – not only for my family, but also for my cat ‘Peanut’ and my horse ‘Marco’. I also hope that everything goes well at school, that I learn a lot and that my school friends also stay healthy.”
“I hope that these wars in the world will finally end and that we humans will talk to each other more again. Of course, I also hope that I stay healthy and can visit my grandparents in Styria more often.”
“I wish I was a good student. Just an A grade on the certificate would be great. When it comes to football, I hope we win all the games. And that I, my family and friends are healthy and we are going on holiday together.”
“I wish myself and my family good health in 2025. My greatest wish would be that my team, the U13A FC Wolfurt, would become champions. A good reference wouldn’t be bad either.”
