On Friday morning it was obvious in the Laternsertal: a public bus was in danger of crashing there. In the end it went well; the vehicle, which weighed several tons, was secured in time by the fire brigade and subsequently recovered.
The bus was on Hofstrasse around 10am. The 51-year-old bus driver probably lost control of his vehicle due to the winter road conditions. He slid over the edge of the road and became stuck on an edge of the property.
The fire brigade saved the bus from the crash
Fortunately, the emergency services from the Rankweil fire brigade were quickly on the scene: first they secured the vehicle against a possible crash, then the bus was lifted back onto the road. No one was injured in the incident.
