Paris faced the horrors of a new terrorist attack on the former Charlie Hebdo editorial office on rue Nicolas Appert, in the heart of Paris’s Bastille district. A man went to the magazine’s former headquarters without knowing that the publication had been moved to an undisclosed address after the attack. His aim was to take revenge for the fact that the magazine continued to publish articles about Muhammad. The man attacked and seriously injured two employees of an audiovisual agency, who were standing at the door of the building where Charlie Hebdo was previously located with a machete.
The main suspect, who is now 29 years old, is charged with terrorist assassination attempt and association of criminals with terrorist objectives, with the latter also hanging over the other five suspects.
These are five men, three of whom were minors at the time of the attack, who the Public Prosecution Service considers responsible for inciting and supporting Mahmood in the preparation and execution of the attack.
