Duo suspected of crime – clubhouse fire in Dornbirn: it was arson!

Date:

On the night of December 16, the clubhouse of the traditional Vorarlberg club Admira Dornbirn burned to the ground. According to information from “Krone”, the fire was probably started deliberately – but official confirmation from the police is still pending.

It was a nightmare. That December night, the Admira Dornbirn football club was robbed of its entire infrastructure: the clubhouse was in ruins after the devastating inferno and all showers, jerseys and balls had been destroyed. A total of 20 teams lost their training opportunity. At least no one was injured; the building was already in ‘hibernation’ at the time of the fire.

Two young people suspected of the crime
This fact, as well as the fact that the fire broke out in the entrance area, had been fueling the rumor mill for several weeks. Was it arson? According to information from the “Krone”, the fire was actually started deliberately. Therefore, two young people aged 16 and 19 should be regarded as urgent suspects. However, official confirmation from the state investigation service is still pending.

A new clubhouse is being built
Meanwhile, the city of Dornbirn promised the club weeks ago that they would build a new clubhouse. However, this will not be available until spring 2026 at the earliest. Until then, Admira will have to make do with a temporary solution.
