Crashed on A2 – Fire brigade rescues Jungrind from a difficult situation

Date:

The fire brigade had to respond to save an animal on Epiphany in Ligist (Styria). A young cattle fell over the dike near the highway and became stuck in the fence.

Unusual deployment of the volunteer fire brigade of Markt Ligist on Epiphany: Because the storm had damaged a pasture fence in the Oberwald district, several young cattle escaped from the pasture.

Rind couldn’t free himself
One of the cattle fell over a rocky embankment near the southern highway, became stuck in the conservation fence and was unable to free itself.

The injured animal received initial care from a veterinarian. The fire brigade then freed the animal from its dire situation with the help of a crane and a special rescue kit and lifted it onto the owner’s trailer, bringing the animal home again.
