Spectacular scenes on Wednesday on the Klagenfurt highway near St. Veit an der Glan: A motorist stepped on the gas during a traffic stop and went on a wild chase with the police.

And as a result, he went on a wild chase with the police. “The driver fled via the S 37 towards Klagenfurt. Sometimes he drove well over 200 km/h and tried to force the police off the road. At least two passenger cars and two blue light vehicles were damaged on the sides,” it was officially reported by the “Krone”.

Wanted on warrant
Apparently no injuries were reported as a result. The 28-year-old driver was eventually stopped and arrested by several police patrols near Wölfnitz. “He is currently being questioned by officers in St. Veit,” the police explain. According to information from “Krone”, the 28-year-old from Lower Austria was wanted on an arrest warrant.
