-Venezuela: The presidential inauguration will be celebrated this Friday, with Nicolás Maduro likely to take office for the second time after the July 2024 elections in Venezuela. For his part, the leader of the opposition coalition, Edmundo González Urrutia, is in the Dominican Republic, the theoretical last stop on his regional tour before returning to Venezuelan territory to try to take possession of the presidency.
– Copernicus report: 2024 was the warmest year ever recorded worldwide and will go down in history as the first year with an average of 1.6 °C above pre-industrial temperatures (1850-1900). The average global temperature was 15.10 ºC, 0.72 ºC above the 1991-2020 average. According to the latest report published by the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S), a new global average temperature record was reached on July 22 at 17.16°C.
– Meeting on the closure of BSH in Madrid: The Ministry of Labor and the Government of Navarre plan to meet this afternoon in Madrid with members of the German management of the multinational BSH to discuss the announced closure of the Navarrese Esquíroz factory in June next year. Simultaneously with the meeting in Madrid, the Esquíroz works council will hold a staff meeting in front of the company’s offices.
