The Viennese police have now discovered that three young men are not only brandishing wooden spoons in their kitchen on Landstrasse. There, a self-built drug laboratory was discovered containing ‘Liquid Ecstasy’, cannabis and the like. After a grenade was found, the entire house was evacuated.
Two suspects – aged 20 and 22 – were actually notified of a task force to combat street crime. The men were temporarily arrested in the area of the Zippererstrasse metro station after they tried to sell drugs to a civilian police officer. But it wasn’t just about an arrest: a quick search was carried out on Wednesday, during which the detectives came across a shocking finding…
Officers discovered drug kitchen
The men not only stored drugs for sale in the apartment of a 24-year-old on Baumgasse, but also manufactured them themselves on a large scale. 1.5 liters of “Liquid Ecstasy” were seized, as well as a large number of medicines and 500 grams of cannabis. The suspects had also built a drug laboratory in their kitchen.
“The other residents of the house were evacuated for about an hour while the drug laboratory examined a homemade pyrotechnic object and a reportedly defused grenade found in the apartment,” reports police spokesman Philipp Haßlinger.
The suspect has generally reported himself
The 24-year-old – all suspects are from Austria – was also taken by the officers. After the interrogations, during which the suspects did not confess, charges were filed under the Narcotics Act after consultation with the Vienna Public Prosecutor’s Office.
