Harry and Meghan met with those affected by the California fires. Images from American broadcaster Fox 11 showed the two at a conference location in Pasadena, near Los Angeles.

There they spoke with people who had to flee their homes because of the flames, and with emergency workers. The royal family could repeatedly be seen giving people a reassuring hug.
They handed out food without being recognized
Pasadena Mayor Victor Gordo praised the two’s efforts in an interview with the station. “You didn’t come here for attention. They came to work,” Gordo said. It was their second visit to the incident site after also visiting those affected in the fire areas. Wearing breathing masks, they even remained unrecognizable while distributing food.
The couple had previously called on their website for people to house friends and relatives affected by the fires in their homes. “Please also consider donating clothing, toys, children’s clothing and other essential items,” the royal family said. According to media reports, Harry and Meghan set a good example.
