Highway tragedy – Flixbus toppled in Germany: two dead

Two people have died in a serious bus crash on a highway in the German state of Brandenburg, according to initial findings. The number of injured is still unclear. There were 14 people on the Flixbus bus.

According to German media reports, the vehicle involved in the accident was a Flixbus bus. According to a spokesperson for the police situation service in Potsdam, the accident took place at the exit of a parking lot, just behind the Uckermark triangle.

The coach fell on his side
The bus came to a stop on its side. Initial findings indicate that no other vehicle was involved. “Including the driver, there were 14 people on the bus,” said a spokesperson for the “Märkische Allgemeine Zeitung”. It cannot initially be confirmed whether slippery conditions played a role.

Large rescue team after bus accident
Several ambulances were called to the scene of the accident. A tent was also requested to care for the injured, and several rescue buses drove to a nearby parking lot. A traffic jam occurred early on Saturday evening and motorists were asked to be attentive and keep to a hard shoulder. The ADAC also warned of slippery roads at the Uckermark intersection towards Stettin.
