The perpetrator, a 37-year-old Moroccan who lived in Switzerland, was quickly caught. He is said to have killed the 42-year-old with a metal bar after an argument. Max H.’s body had serious wounds on his head and face.

Now the trial took place on the island of Koh Samui, and Max H.’s brother was there. “In fact, my little brother was the victim of a completely unnecessary attack, although the exact circumstances were not fully clarified during the trial,” he says. The judge decided on murder and the sentence (up to 25 years) will be announced on January 7.
