A pedestrian was killed in a traffic accident in Bavaria on Sunday morning. A driver of a U.S. Army SUV struck the woman on the adjacent sidewalk.
For an unknown reason, the car left the B14 near Ansbach and drove over a grass verge onto a cycle and pedestrian path. After 100 meters, the all-terrain vehicle hit a 33-year-old pedestrian.
The woman died a short time later in hospital
She was seriously injured in the collision and was taken to hospital, where she died a short time later.
Police said the driver was a 19-year-old U.S. citizen driving a military police car.
