Three months ago, soldier Mustafa P. was killed by a pistol bullet in the barracks in Spittal. With the ‘crown’ his family speaks of sadness, anger and justice.
Even as they greet them, Mustafa’s mother and sister fight back tears; sadness and despair are ubiquitous. On the dining table there are candles – and photos of Mustafa (21), who was tragically taken from life support. “We still can’t believe it. It has been 85 days now, but the pain is still unbearable,” said the father, who is so proud of his son.
“Musti was such a happy, loving person. Helped everyone who needed help. And he worked so hard: he completed his training as a painter, loved his work and wanted to continue doing it after his military service.” After his disarmament, he wanted to treat himself to a short vacation. But unfortunately that didn’t happen anymore.
