An accident occurred on the A3 highway, south-east, between the Eisenstadt and Hornstein junctions on Friday afternoon. There was no way to save a motorist. The highway had to be closed.
According to the first reports, a motorist initially had an accident with wild animals on the A3 between the Eisenstadt and Müllendorf junctions towards Vienna. The man stopped his vehicle and got out. Then a truck hit the car.
All help came too late
“It crashed terribly,” said one witness. The driver of the car fell under his own car and was fatally injured. Although the police, emergency doctor and fire brigade arrived at the scene of the accident shortly afterwards, all help for the victim came too late. The investigation into the exact cause of the accident is still ongoing.
