A smoke detector went off in an apartment building in Radenthein before 6 a.m. on Sunday: the resident had forgotten a pizza in the oven and had suffered smoke poisoning, which had already happened to him on New Year’s Day.
At 5:37 am on Sunday, the siren alerted the Radenthein fire brigade: the smoke alarm went off in an apartment building and neighbors then called the fire brigade.
The affected apartment was filled with smoke and the lights were on. The respiratory protection team found a man in the apartment: he had suffered smoke inhalation and was taken to hospital by the rescue team.
The reason for the smoke was a pizza that had been forgotten in the oven. The same person had already organized such an operation in the same apartment on New Year’s Day.
