Electronic traces – Bomb threat for school: student sent e -mail

Date:

The 15-year-old student could only look forward to his “joke” for a day. After the bomb threat at a Völkermarkt school, researchers quickly came out of him.

Anonymity on the internet can be deceptive. So a 15-year-old student felt very safe when he sent an anonymized e-mail to the Völkermarkt police on Tuesday around 10.38 am. “. This e -mail threatened that two bombs were placed in high school and that they would explode within two hours,” the police explained.

Police forces of the PI Volkermarkt, the standby unit and an “explosive organ” searched the school, but did not find what they were looking for. When the bomb period went without an event, the students and teachers were able to go back – school activities did not bother much.

The State Office of State Security and Extremism Control (LSE) was also consulted for the research – these professionals have completely different tools and resources to find digital traces. “Through excellent research work, a 15-year-old student from the Völkermarkt district was able to investigate through excellent research work by officials from the PI Volkermarkt in collaboration with the LSE Carinthia,” the police reported.

The man did not deny the action after it could be clearly demonstrated. “A report to the office of the public prosecutor in Klagenfurt and the district administration of Völkermarkt will be repaid,” the police said. In the past similar cases there have been some sensitive fines for the legal guardians.
