A highly dilapidated body discovered a house in Hall in Tyrol just over a week ago when he was looking for his cat in the garden. The State Criminal Police Office started research. Now the identity of the dead can be clarified. But the case remains enigmatic.
As the police announced on Thursday evening, the result of the molecular genetic comparison is now available. Accordingly, the dead who will be found on January 22 is a 30-year-old Austrian citizen who has been dependent since the fall 2024. “Further investigations into the cause of death,” says Lieutenant -Kolonel Philipp Rapold, deputy head of the Tyrol State Criminal Police Office.
Foreign error not to be excluded
The cause of death could not be clarified by an autopsy. It also remains enigmatic how the man or body came to the site. “It is determined in every direction,” said Rapold. Foreign errors cannot therefore be excluded.
