Too full to park, too “fat” to drive

Date:

You know it: the car is parked so tightly on the side that the driver’s door can hardly be opened and you can hardly get in thanks to your prosperous belly. This happened to a 59-year-old in the German municipality of Baindt (Baden-Württemberg), not far from the border with Vorarlberg. It’s a good thing there was a 32-year-old nearby who could ask the man for help with parking. Just a pity that the lady wasn’t completely sober anymore…

The 32-year-old woman was approached at a bus stop shortly before 9 p.m. by the owner of the vehicle, who was annoyed that his Seat was parked in such a way that he could no longer open the door due to his size. driver’s door and get into the car to get in He asked the woman to get into his car and park it in front of him.

The woman made it clear that she did not have a driver’s license and was afraid of cars, but was eventually persuaded to drive as the owner of the 59-year-old Seat gave her directions. When parking, the 32-year-old then slid from the brake pedal to the accelerator pedal and crashed into the Peugeot parked next to the Seat. She then backed up against the wall of the residential building, which was a few yards behind the parking lot.

After the woman parked, the 59-year-old simply drove off in his seat. He was subsequently identified by the police. He and the 32-year-old, in whom the police found a breath alcohol concentration of more than two per mille, are now being prosecuted for causing an accident under the influence of alcohol, driving without a license, being allowed to drive without a license and driving on the road.
