In the US state of Alaska, a plane with ten people is missing on board. On board were the Cessna caravan nine passengers and the pilot.
The machine had disappeared on Thursday (local time) on the way from Unalautleet to Nome about 250 kilometers away, the police and fire brigade said. Nothing was known about the identity of the occupants.
Search on the ground and out of the air
The authorities tried to determine the most recently known coordinates of the aircraft. It disappeared from the radar about 20 kilometers off the coast. At the same time there is a search on the ground and from the air, in which the coast guard is also involved in an airplane. The bad weather made the search difficult.
“We hope that the plane is on the land,” the fire -white mountain told a local broadcaster. “The worst scenario would be on the water,” he added.
Third escape drama in a short time
In a few days ago, the United States had only shoved two short gaps. On January 29, a passenger machine from the American Airlines with a military helicopter collided in the capital Washington. The 64 people on board the plane and the three passengers of the helicopter were killed.
Two days later, a jet for medical transport crashed in the middle of a busy area in Philadelphia. All six people died on board, another person was killed on the floor and much more injured.
