A person died in a renewed shooting between drug gangs in Brussels. It is a “war between gangs” who want to defend their areas, said the mayor of the affected district.
The police initially searched for the volatile perpetrators. The incident took place on Friday evening. The public prosecutor stated that the identity of death is still unclear. It was only in the night on Thursday that a man was injured in a similar shooting with fast firearms and had to be treated in the hospital.
It was already the fourth shootout within just 48 hours, they all took place in the District Other attached, not far from the Brussels Südbahnhof. On Wednesday, two men shot around with quick -fire rifles and then fled to a metro station.

The authorities blame rival drug gangs. The new Belgian government had promised a “zero tolerance policy” against drug gangs. Belgium is considered one of the most important inlet gates for cocaine and other drugs in Europe. The new Royal public prosecutor Julien Moinil had demanded reinforcements for the police.
