The mail was taken to an – unlocked – depot box, where it was still freely accessible to everyone. Post AG now says: “It was a clear assignment for the employee involved to deliver the mail. They should also know that undelivered items should always be taken to the delivery base and depots should be locked.” Internal measures are now being taken.
