Just an unknown traeder hunger to starve a captured field in the lower Austria. Animal rights activists have now filed a complaint.
Franz Puchegger recently hardly wanted to trust his eyes in the Weinviertel. The director of the Ökological Hunting Association of Austria had encountered a fall in a forest near Schief near Asparn on the Zaya district, Mistelbach.
“There was a dead rabbit,” says Puchegger: “Because it was a closed living fall, everything indicates that the rabbit is painfully starving and thirsty.”
Abolishing the stairs required
Puchegger turned around with the case of animal welfare Austria. And the association has filed a complaint. “And according to section 222 there is cruelty here for animals,” explains spokesman Martin Aschauer. Because according to the applicable hunting legislation, the fall should have been checked at least once a day.
However, because this assessment apparently failed, the rabbit has had a painful end. Animal Protection Austria calls for an investigation in this case, the investigation of the responsible person and – if available – withdrawn from the yacht certificate.
“The stocks of broken rabbits are falling,” the animal rights activists complain. They argue that hunting the stairs is abolished: “It is probably one of the cruelest forms of hunting!”
