Tele Taxi staff has launched an indefinite strike to demand that management comply with the pre-contract signed in February 2022, with a follow-up rate of more than 80%, according to ELA, warning that if the company does not comply with the agreement “there will be no taxis in Sanfermines”
In that preliminary agreement signed in February 2022after more than a year of negotiations, according to the union in a statement, salaries were updated for 2021, the CPI for Navarra was increased for 2022 and the CPI plus 0.5% for the year 2023.
But he adds, on April 12, management “communicated that it would not comply with the pre-contractwhich would not guarantee the rise in CPI for 2022 or 2023″.
Tele Taxi is a special employment agency, where 70% of the staff have some degree of incapacity for work, for which the company receives subsidies, says the union, which demands compliance with the pre-agreed and unanimously endorsed in the Assembly.
At the same time, it asks the Commonwealth of the Pamplona Region to assume its responsibility as the highest authority in the field of public transport.
On the other hand, the staff has shown its rejection and its absolute condemnation of the aggression that a fellow taxi driver has recently undergone and the aggression that Tele Taxi operators also undergo verbally.
