The names of the 2024 Nobel Prize winners will be known from Monday, October 7. The Medicine Prize opens the prize round, followed by Physics, Chemistry, Literature, Peace and Economics. The awards ceremony will take place on December 10.
This year’s awards will focus on the situation in the Middle East and a conflict in Ukraine that is taking place for the third time.
The Nobel Peace Prize and Literature are the two that raise the most expectations and generate the greatest number of previous speculations and supposed collections of favorites.
The director of the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (Sipri), Dan Smith, is in favor of not awarding the Peace Prize, meaning it will be a ‘white year’, because of the catastrophes that are multiplying around the world .
The United Nations Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA), the International Court of Justice (ICJ) and UN Secretary General António Guterres are among the favorites for the 2024 Nobel Peace Prize, which will be awarded on October 11 announced.
