Serious ski accident on Friday morning in the Hintertux glacier in Tyrol. A 41-year-old Dutch lost control of his skis, passed the edge and crashed into a rock. The winter athlete had to be flown to the Innsbruck clinic.
Around 10 am the skier drove into the valley on a blue marked slopes. He lost control of his skis and fell. “The man came out of the slopes and crashed into a rock that is about four meters next to the edge,” the police said.
The companion immediately raised the alarm
Friends of the Dutch immediately provided first aid and raised the emergency call. After the first aid due to the slope rescue and the crew of the rescue helicopter, the 41-year-old was brought to the clinic in Innsbruck with serious injury.
