At 4.51 am on Tuesday morning, the electricity in Wels downtown and in areas of Thalheim. According to the urban energy supplier EWW, the reason for this was a cable error of a medium -voltage cable between the Mitte substation and the Traunpark.

The defect could be remedied after about 40 minutes, in 9365 households the light started again at 5.31 am. “We are currently analyzing the incident in detail to minimize the probability of such errors in the future,” said EWW spokesperson Thomas Holl.
