Expansion decided – Ukraine wants to buy Bulgaria two nuclear reactors

Date:

The Ukrainian government now finally wants to close the construction of other nuclear reactors in the nuclear reactor of Chmmelnyzkyj in West -Ukraine. For this purpose, equipment and parts of never -completed nuclear power plant are purchased from Bulgaria.

The Ukrainian parliament has all the green light for the purchase of two reactors of the Soviet design. According to estimates, the acquisition should cost the equivalent of at least 580 million euros. The reactors each have a rough performance of 1000 megawatts each. The parliament in Bulgaria has approved discussions about a possible sale.

With two running blocks and a gross version of 2000 megawatts, the Chmelnyzykyj -Kerncentrale is the smallest of the three Ukrainian nuclear power plants. In the power plant, one fifth and a sixth reactor must also be built in the power plant.

Biggest nuclear nuclear energy
The Ukraine that was attacked by Russia almost three years ago includes more than half of his electricity requirements with nuclear energy. Time and again the Russian army tries to paralyze the Ukrainian power supply by targeted power plants and electricity grid attacks. The nuclear power plant in Europe, which is located in the Saporischchja area and with six blocks, has been held by Russian troops since 2022. The nuclear power plant was closed for safety reasons.
