At the beginning of February, the case of horror animal transport caused dismay in Styrie. Two calves died, there were two more care in Styria. They too died.
No fewer than 265 calves, many only two weeks old, cried together on three floors of a tractor trailer, on the way from Estonia to North -Italia: the state traffic department of the styric police stopped an animal transporter on the Südautobahn (A2) in ILZ Begin February.
All animals were weakened and members of a big thirst, many sucked on the bars. The drinking system was rusty and broken, the van was actually designed for pigs. Even the prescribed break of an hour after nine hours of driving was not observed.
High punishment for drivers
Two calves had not survived the horror ride, there were two still classified as not to be transported and stayed in Styria. But they could not be saved either: “Unfortunately, both calves died despite intensive efforts.
