A few meters, if not inch, prevented worse: an 18-year-old had strayed on Sunday evening with his BMW in Sierning (Upper Austria). After several roles, the car remained for a steep slope.
Part of the car hung above 15 meters deep abyss. A 27-year-old who drove behind the driver of the accident began the Reddrijden. Immediately after their arrival, the fire brigades insured the BMW -Prone BMW with a rope, the other end of which was attached to an emergency vehicle.
The 18-year-old from Steyr was caught helplessly in the wreck of his car. “The steering wheel was responsive, we were able to calm him down,” says Markus Hofstödter, commander of the mandatory area of the fire brigade. After about 40 minutes, the young man was saved from the BMW and was seriously injured in the Kepler University Hospital in Linz.
Rescue Helicopter started a second time
A few hours later there was another accident in Hofkirchen in the Mühlk trip in Hofkirchen. A 32-year-old more room had also strayed off the street with his car he crashed into a tree stump of alcohol.
The driver was able to leave the car himself, but here too the rescue helicopter had to climb.
