It is a sad record! Financial officers have saved more illegal dog puppies and kittens the previous year. However, the perpetrators only have fines for the unspeakable suffering of animals.
In addition to classical drug and human trafficking, the Mafia has discovered a lucrative “business area”. We are talking about the unscrupulous smuggling market with four pots. Now a thriving billion dollar business worldwide. To use the question, dog puppies and kittens are torn out of their mother too early and sometimes sick after year to be sold illegally under their hands.
The animal welfare organization “Four Paws” shows depressing figures: in Austria the annual need is 72,000 dogs. Incredible seven of the ten animals come from inexplicable origin. This means that breeding with around 50,000 four pots is not clearly understandable.
Even when buying animal purchases, the mentality of “Avarice Cool” also applies

In 2022 there were still 109 and 2023 118 young animals, there was a new sad record last year: a total of 138 four -sucked friends – 110 dogs and 28 cats – were released from the claws. The majority is smuggled through cars and vans across the border for us, but there were also attacks at Vienna airport.
Behind it are private individuals in the rarest things, but a criminal network. Proof: almost 80 percent of the crimes showed the committed unscrupulous commercial dealers. Incidentally, the majority of the tortured animals come from Southeastern Europe.
“It is frightening that smugglers accept unspeakable animal suffering to make a profit,” Minister of Finance Gunter Mayr is also affected. The penalties for the Puppy mafia can be done on the high win, but unfortunately not very deterred …
And what happens to the young animals stopped by the local authorities? According to an investigation by the border or official veterinarian, there is a rejection in the input state (in rare cases), but usually imposing the quarantine or acceptance.
What is good news for the sweet helpless dog puppies and baby cats – because they are then opened in local animal welfare devices, still vaccinated and chipped if necessary. And then wait for a loving owner. This happy end had hit half of all cases last year.
“Krone” Animal Corner helps to discover suffering
But a cruel animal drama is usually preceded by this good result. The “Kroon” animal corner also reveals the bad machinations with the help of false purchases. About two dozen French Bulldog -puppies from Slovenia could be discovered and saved in a dark “horror” cellar near Sankt Pölten.
But an Austrian animal trader could also use the “Kroon” in Hungary to place the vessel. Hundreds of animals were discovered on her farm. Brigitta M. rode her disaster for years and is currently in custody.
The company with cute animal baby is lucrative. Probably the income -strong source of weapons and drug trafficking. The demand controls the market and that is where the dog is buried. Because apparently it does not take care of many people where and how their future “partner with the cold snout” was born.
The breed is important and that the price is good. “Avarice is cool” – unfortunately that is the case, even when buying living things. I was there several times for false purchases and rescue campaigns – both in Hungary and in Austria. Conclusion: it is painful to see how animals are abused. They are sick, they die like flies and are plagued throughout Europe. Are the dealers the fault or perhaps the buyers?
It is often difficult to see if it is a reputable breeder. The only really 100 % answer gives genetic tests that the animal carries in it are showing genetic diversity and who the parent animals are. This means that Mafia, tonal approach to animals can be excluded!
