“Not with me,” thought a Tyrolean pensioner (73) on Monday when she received a call for an assumed collection agency. With lies fairy tales, attempts were made to pull money out of the pocket of the elderly. But the smart woman recognized the dizziness and filed a complaint.
Around 5 p.m. the 73-year-old seniors from Kufstein received the dubious call. The caller, who presented himself as an employee of a German collection agency, wanted to pretend that the woman completed a subscription in the course of a competition in 2022 and did not end it.
Assumed debts collected
This resulted in the debt of several thousand euros over time. “Due to bankrupt, a low, four -digital euro amount, the open debt amount would expire,” the police described the brutal fairy tale of the fraud.
The phone call ended, a complaint filed
The 73-year-old responded in the Spirit and was not trapped. “She finished the phone and submitted the advertisement!” Further investigation by the police are underway.
