A woman who was apparently completely unknown to him was attacked by a 38-year-old suspect at a bus station in the Hernals district of Vienna on Saturday evening, first verbally, then with his fists and finally with a knife.
The 52-year-old was standing at a bus station in Wurlitzergasse late in the evening around 11:30 p.m. when suddenly the 38-year-old suspect – apparently drunk – approached her and spoke. There would have been an argument, the alleged perpetrator began to threaten the woman and also became violent.

Suddenly the suspect pulled a knife with which he cut the hand of the 52-year-old. However, the victim managed to escape and to rescue in a residential building. Witnesses to the scenes warned the director.
Officials were able to arrest the alleged attacker at the scene a short time later. The knife was also seized. According to the woman, the two did not know each other. However, both were Hungarian citizens. The 52-year-old was taken to hospital with minor injuries after receiving first aid.
