In bath Erlach in the curved world there is a somewhat unpleasant scent blown through the streets that reminds of garlic. The “Kronenzeitung” has now discovered why this is actually a garlic and why this is a particularly good thing.
Intensive garlic scent has been floating over the small, almost 3300-zou municipality of Bad Erlach in the Wiener Neustadt district for more than a week. The residents are curious and wonder what the reason could be? The honest answer to this comes from the “cause” personally. Namely from organic and bustle builder Reinhard Piribauer.
He and his wife Marie-Luise run a 3.5 hectare field in the village, on which the fertilization of the strawberries was started again with coal manure a few days ago
The best Biokno -Ventilator from Burgenland
But not with some garlic. “We use 15 tons of Bioknoblauch from Sigleß,” explains the company boss. Why garlic? “We just don’t want to work with poison,” Piribauer said about the very natural kind of pest control. Because only garlic and horse, but no chemical sprays are used for his strawberries.
The field was fertilized last week when the floor was still frozen. “Actually, the intensive scent with the next productive precipitation should be over,” explains Piribauer. “Just stupid that it is not raining and instead the sun shines on it,” he takes the case even with humor.
The first strawberries are harvested from May. It can also be picked in its strawberry country – directly from the field without being afraid to spray.
And even for vampires you don’t have to be afraid in the idyllic thermal village of the curved world …
