After an attack by separatists on a train in the Pakistani unrest province Belututschistan with hundreds of passengers and subsequent hostage -the army claimed to regain control of the situation. All fighters were killed, said it on Wednesday.

Belututschistan is located in southwestern Pakistan on the border with Afghanistan and Iran and is the poorest province in the country. Separatist groups have been fighting the government in Belutschistan for decades. They require independence for the province of raw materials and part of the deposits of gas and minerals.

The Bla is the most active armed separatist movement. In recent years, the militia has intensified its attacks on security forces and residents of neighboring provinces. Islamic groups such as the Pakistani Taliban are also active there. According to experts, more than 1,600 people were killed in Pakistan in 2024.
