About 1000 customers have not yet renewed the old rate that the electricity supplier has leaked. Now the company is serious about closing electricity.
For months, Salzburg AG tried to convince its customers of the new electricity rate. 99.6 percent has also changed. You have accepted the new, cheaper rate “Private 24” or looking for a new provider. But it is now serious for the rest. With around 1000 customers, the contract expired at the end of February and you have no other provider.
This day Salzburg Netz GmbH starts with electricity closures because there is no longer a delivery contract. According to Salzburg AG, the Shutdowns take place between 6.15 and 7 am in the morning and are performed in different tranches. Affected customers must contact Salzburg AG customer service. An immediate new registration for the supply of electricity is possible around the clock (under 0800/660 660).
How many households from Salzburg it actually gets dark is not entirely clear. Salzburg AG assumes that about ten percent of the cases are vacancies after moving, killing or second houses.
New contract that is necessary for legal uncertainty
The now affected customers did not respond to different contacts from Salzburg AG. If there is an existing telephone number, there were several calls to call, registered letters have been sent to all affected areas. The new rate is cheaper for electricity customers with about ten cents per kilowatt hour than the old rate.
Due to various judgments, the company must currently offer its customers a new contract, even if prices are reduced. A price reduction of the existing rate would be associated with legal uncertainties. After the enormous price increase in the course of the Ukraine craina rieg, consumer protectors complained about various electricity providers for contractual clauses. Since then, the legal situation for electricity contracts has been unclear.
