The upper Austria had a mixed spring weekend. Mountain Rescue: 19-year-old fell to 30 meters in Ebensee. At the Erlakogel and Grünau in the Almtal there were two false alarms on the other side, the large searches turned out to be superfluous.
Spring is only in the starting blocks, but the athletes are already going to the mountains. On Saturday this was pretty bad in the Rindbach Climbing Garden near Ebensee: a 19-year-old from Laakirchen and a timelkam of the same age both had completed a climbing route. Then the timel room got up and walked a little along the wall foot to find a new route. In the area of a steep gutter of about 45 degrees covered with dry and smooth leaves, he lost its balance and slid the valley uncontrollably. He fell over a vertical wall level and remained 25 to 30 meters lower at the approach. The wounded was flown to the Wels Clinic.
Wanderer was dressed too hot
On the other hand, a search was strange to the nearby Erlakogel. There was a 25-year-old from Wels with a friend. Because he had frozen in walking three weeks earlier, the Welser was very warmly dressed and this time was a lot of sweating. Finally it was enough for him. He pulled out the long ski underpants, the warm socks and the down jacket and laid the clothes out of a tree and then continued. A walker later found the clothes and raised the alarm because there was a steep wall next to it. The search with helicopter and drones was not successful. The helpers left a message for the owner of the Cladding Heap, who reported at 6.30 pm and clarified the misunderstanding.
Mountain climbers voluntary bivouacied
In Grünau in the Almtal, a local (65) alarm also sounded on Saturday because two hikers with whom he had spoken in the morning did not return from the Falcon Wall in the evening. A big search was started. At midnight, the mountain climbers-a 31-year-old from Gmunden and a 28-year-old from Scharnstein was found. They came in the Kaiblinggraben.
