A South Styriaan had massive pain and was admitted to the LKH Graz with suspected acute hernia. There they did not want to do CT or introduce the patient. When the woman added a lawyer in her despair, he went quickly.
With bad pain in the spine, she could hardly stand and sitting a 67-year-old south of the south dragged himself to a resident specialist at the end of February. The latter expressed the suspicion of acute hernia and immediately sent the woman with the rescue to the LKH Graz II Süd (formerly LSF), with the instruction for intramural recording and further clarification.
There, however, the treatment was rejected and the woman was further sent to the first aid of the LKH Graz. There was no real help here either: the 67-year-old received further painkillers, but neither was performed, nor was the patient admitted.
CT only on its own initiative
The woman and her husband were desperate and turned to the resident doctor who organized a CT test that confirmed the suspicion: massive hernia, acute nervous pace. The South Styrian could hardly get up and suffered from unbearable pain. A few days later the couple turned to lawyer Karin Prutsch-Lang.
This immediately made a call to the kages. Then it was suddenly fast: the 67-year-old was contacted by the LKH Graz, intramural and treated for a week. “The staff in the hospital was very nice, I don’t want to discredit anyone. But I already doubt this system,” said the Styrian. The latter also confirms the lawyer of Prutsch-Lang: “Unfortunately this is not an isolated matter, but stands as an example for many patients who are rejected despite the need for intramural treatment.”
On request, LKH Graz states that pressure was not necessary by a lawyer. If the patient had imagined again, there would also have been a re -evaluation that would have led to a re -evaluation of the situation and intramural admission.
