One in the true feeling of sweet gesture: a pastry shop distributed banana loss to the emergency services while waiting in the traffic jam.
The helpers of the Pinkafeld City Fire Brigade in Burgenland were called for an assignment. On location, however, it turned out that it was a medical emergency – apparently an epileptic attack. The patient has already been cared for.
A little refreshment
Because of the use there was a traffic jam on the highway. This also stood by the Pinkoeldeldbakker Helmut Ulreich on his van. When he saw that his ‘home fire brigade’ was in action, he decided to sweeten the waiting time until the patient was removed.
No coffee
Without further delay, he and his employee took a box with 20 bananas from the car and distributed them to the firefighters – who liked access. “So it happened that we ate pastries directly on the highway,” laughs the pastry chef. However, he had no coffee. “The next time I take a few, we have already agreed,” he says with a smile.
