It all started with a blue work apron more than 100 years ago. The piece of dust was almost forgotten with the extinction of the blue pressure. In Burgenland there is still a workshop that dominates the old printing technique. So successful that you can even tear yourself about the products abroad.
The Koó Burgenland Blue printing in Steinberg-Dörfl is one of the last active workshops in Europe. It was founded in 1921 by Josef Koó, at a time when blue pressure was still a common craft and the men in Burgenland wore a traditional blue half -daapron during the daily work on the field, on Sundays or prayed -driven “fiata”. However, most blue pressure companies were closed in the sixties because the company is no longer profitable. It was different in Koó. The heart stuck on the blue pressure.
