It is heartbreaking: six children can live at the death of a 17-year-old underground surfer in Vienna! Because the singing mother of the young person agreed to an organ donation. For a Courage test, two teenagers died in the drama at the U4 station.
The tragedy in the Vienna U4 station Schönbrunn moved the whole of Austria at the end of October last year. At the time, a quartet of head and collar risked for an adrenaline kick or a cool internet video for clicking on social media. The recordings of the wild trip at full speed (up to 80 kilometers per hour) on the roof of the car were traumatic.
Crashed against the pedestrian bridge at speed 50
Because the life-threatening campaign finally ended tragically: the 17-year-old from a district in Prague and his Czech friend, who was also Czech, clamped his head against the pedestrian bridge at the station. With around 50 km/h! The power of the impact was so violent that the two young people still had to be resuscitated on the spot.
There were also a 16-year-old and a 13-year-old Austrian who remained more or less unharmed. Just like the metro driver, they had to be cared for psychologically in the crisis.
Wake with candles at the train station
In the hospital, the doctors then lost the fight for the life of the two days later crashed teenagers. First the ventilation machines were eliminated by the 17-year-old, then the 18-year-old because of brain death. After the accident, the friends of the victims held a wake to commemorate the accident station for two weeks.
In this context, the Viennese lines insist: “We appeal to such reckless and life-threatening actions. No tikok video, no test of courage or selfie in the world it is worth climbing on a metro or tram.”
Mother agrees with her son organ donation on the deathbed
But because of his death, Vlado eventually saved life! Because mother Oksana agreed to her son’s deathbed in the Vienna clinic of an organ donation. Six boys and girls who were on the waiting list gave the chance to get healthy.
Even then, doctors had declared the approved organ donation after the death of the 17-year-old: “Especially when a child dies, this often has something comforting for the family.”
In any case, the short life story of the 17-year-old organ donor affects. Ten years ago he came to Prague as a child with his two younger brothers from Ukraine. Triple’s mother only raised her children, worked hard to give them a better life. Vlad, as his friends called him, also had two tense jobs to help Oksana. The young people tore a short moment of carelessness much too early from life in Vienna.
To take the grieving family members at least the financial worries, a donation collection has now been launched on a Czech crowdfunding page. With the title “Vlado is still with us”.
