An 89-year-old hiker was all alone in the municipal area of ​​Bürs (Vorarlberg) in the direction of the “Platzgufel” package around 11 am due to inattention, he lost his balance and fell into the exit area of ​​the Klimmuur “Bürser Plte”-a 40 meter high steep wall.

Presentively he clung to one of the rocks and prevented the fall due to the depths. Finally, two sports climbers who started the rescue chain started his calls to help.

Only minor injuries
Moments later, the 89-year-old was restored by the mountain riders of Bludenz and Bürs. During the fall, he suffered minor injuries and was flown by the crew of the rescue helicopter “Christophorus 8” to the hospital in Feldkirch.
