After climate activists disrupted the Vienna Marathon on Sunday, morning traffic in Innsbruck was paralyzed from 07:00 on Monday morning. About 15 members of the “Last Generation” protested with a sit-in and a slow protest march despite the rainy weather.

After all, I have four children who are also entitled to a good life,” explains scientist and engineer Georg Partsch (56), who took part in the protest in Innsbruck.

Last Friday, 1400 scientists signed a statement calling on the government and the federal government: “Do instead of criminalize”. The statement continues: “We would particularly like to underline your call for decisive and swift action and warn against pushing to the margins of society people who are committed with great personal commitment to the survival of this very society and its core. .values.”
