An employee of a gas station (29) in the Krems district used his customers’ JÖ bonus points to improve his salary for months.
If the consumer used their JÖ card and paid in cash without asking for an invoice, the employee quickly cashed in his points balance. As a result, the invoice amount already paid was subsequently reduced and the employee reduced the difference himself.
“Low rating”
He allegedly stole several hundred euros before an attentive customer opened the case by looking at her JÖ account. The 29-year-old has to answer for commercial fraud. His motive: insufficient appreciation from customers.
