Rescue workers in South Korea are still looking for a missing employee (50) under the ruins of a collapsed metro tunnel. The helpers fight by time. By Sunday morning, meteorologists predicted for Seoul and the area of rainfall with lightning and thunder, who could hinder further rescue work.
Shortly after the incident there was no contact with five employees. Three of them were later discovered in safety. Helpers were able to save an excavator 13 hours after the collapse of a depth of approximately 30 meters.
A more than 50-year-old is now missing. Until now, the rescue employees have not been able to find the employee.
In the meantime, the police investigated the cause of the collapse. Shortly before the collapse, the authorities had evacuated the area around the construction site after cracks appeared on various columns.
