35 years in custody – Case on which the Menendez brothers are negotiated

Date:

The life fine of the brothers Erik and Lyle Menendez, who have been in the US for 35 years because of the murder of their parents, is being negotiated.

A judge in Los Angeles followed a corresponding application from the public prosecutor on Friday. The new negotiation is planned for the following week.

The prison sentence must be reduced
The prosecutors had argued in the trial when the brothers had killed their parents to get $ 14 million faster (according to today’s value of 12.3 million euros).

Supporters, on the other hand, said that the brothers had acted in self -defense after they had been sexually and physically abused for years by their tyrannical father under the tolerance of the mother.

The former public prosecutor of the administrative district of Los Angeles, George Gascon, supported the reduced prison sentence and submitted a corresponding application to the court.
