The Italian naval ship “Libra” brought 40 migrants on Friday, whose asylum applications were rejected, to Albania from the South -Enthunial Adriatic port of Brindisi.
According to the Italian EU parliamentarian and human rights activist Cecilia Spada, the wrists of migrants were tied with ligaments during the entire intersection. There were 80 safety forces on board, two per migrant.
“Unrest on board”
“We are explained that this measure was taken for safety reasons and that they were decided on board to avoid self -harm and unrest. That is inhuman,” Strada complains.
“Italian law applies”
The EU committee did not want to comment on these allegations. “According to our information, Italian law will be used in the Italian refugee centers in Albania, as was previously the case in the asylum area,” said a spokesperson for the EU committee.
In November 2023, Meloni had concluded an agreement with her Albanian counterpart Edi Rama about two recording companies on Albanian soil. According to the plans, migrants saved by the Italian coast guard must be divided.
Stored warehouse project in Italy
Women and children must be brought to Italy, but up to 3000 men to the camps in Albania, where their asylum procedures must be treated by the Italian authorities. So far, however, the project has been stopped by a few judgments in Italy.
