“Wait please!” – Easter traffic: traffic jams and construction sites here

Date:

Easter travel traffic is rolled up – but you are not making progress quickly. Where it means “waiting” for drivers and where you should avoid better:

A large part of seats and serenity was needed on the burner in the morning. “In the early hours of the morning you lost about an hour in the south on the burner route,” reported the ÖAMTC mobility information on Saturday morning. “There is still a lot going on via the Fernpasstrieben, the situation here has improved. The traffic has shifted to the east.”

Accidents were also tightened
The traffic jams have remained constant for the construction site of the tunnel on the Tauern Autobahn (A10). Drivers lost here for about half an hour. In the course of the morning the traffic on the ASBen (A8) – A1 – A21 – S1 – Nickelsdorf (A4) increased. However, two accidents have also contributed to traffic jams and waiting times: both on the Innkreis Autobahn (A8) near Ried, as well as on the West Autobahn (A1) between St. Valentin and Oed, the columns went back ten kilometers to Carambolages and Lanen.

At the border crossings in Lower Austria and the Burgenland Zu Hungary and Slovakia, the measures against the mouth and claw disease (MKS) also gained. Motorists had “increased waiting time”, it was said by the ÖAMTC.

With long traffic jams for the border positions on Slovakia and Hungary because of the border controls, the ÖAMTC only expects the return trip on Easter Sunday and Easter Monday.

Attention in the Linz area on Sunday
There was a hint from the traffic club for Sunday in front of the Linz area: the city center should be avoided because of the Linz Marathon. The Mühlkreis Autobahn (A7) is closed between Prinz-iegegeig-Straße and Dornach from 4 a.m. to 12 a.m. Many streets will not be accessible in the city center. There are major alternative options.
