In the apartment of an apartment complex in Telfs in the Tyrolean district of Innsbruck-Land, three people were injured in a kitchen fire on Wednesday morning, including a three-year-old child. The tenant, a 73-year-old woman, was baking food on the stove when the extractor hood caught fire.
Just after 11.30 am the sirens blared in Telfs on Wednesday. While frying food, the hood suddenly caught fire. “The dripping, burning material also ignited the grease in the pot,” police said.
Brought to the Innsbruck clinic
The husband was able to contain the fire with a blanket until the Floriani disciples arrived. “The fire brigade eventually carried out the extinguishing work and ventilated the apartment,” explains the director. The two husbands and three-year-old grandson suffered burns and were taken to the Innsbruck clinic.
